BRANDEIS HERE I COME!!!!

i miss everyone. this college stuff feels pretty unreal and i'm really scared. i only really like brandeis. what happens if i don't get in? i think i'll cry.

i'm sad. all of my friends are away at college or elsewhere and don't answer my calls. i want to know what ry's doing right now. i wish helena would sing me a song. i wish i could stay up really late with kate talking about life and beyond. i wish wyatt wasn't in maine. i wish i had people from high school that i feel like i can consider friends for life. i feel like the people i do really like from high school are more into other people and less into me. all of them. they all assume that there's another group of people that are hanging out with me. but since they're all assuming that just leaves me alone and sad. i want people to spontaneously call me because just once for a birthday (which wasn't really recognized in the first place) is lame. i hope people will be better in college. i like having friends. but i don't think they like having me.

wow... so i haven't written on livejournal in 24 weeks. so here's what's going on with me:

college looking isn't as crazy as i thought it would be, especially since i'm only looking in the boston area so it's not like i need to fly across the country to go see some schools. as of right now, i think brandeis is my top choice. it just seems to be everything that i'm looking for. their psych department makes me drool so that's a definite plus. i like BU also and wouldn't be completely upset if i only got in there. there's pretty much no chance that i wouldn't get in there but who knows... schools are being tricky sons of a bitches lately. wellesley is also a possibility. it's beautiful. i mean it's like heaven there. the only weird thing would be the drastic lack of penises there. it also is somewhat like the harvard of all girls schools but i think i have a shot. those are right now my top schools. my safeties kind of suck because i really didn't like either and can't see myself going to either. umass was just way too like it's own weird freak of a city. it also has such a range of intelligence that just felt pretty weird to me. it's the kids that had that as their reach school and then people that just wanted to save money but could have gone to an ivy. the other safety is wheaton which was really pretty and somewhat reminded me of YPI. however, it's in norton, ma. do you know what's in norton? nothing... therefore, it was just boring. it's about an hour away from boston and 45 mins away from providence. blaaaah.

i feel like i'm becoming a boring person.

i have lately been pretty disappointed by people. this honestly includes almost everyone except for jake... that's sad... a girl should have more people to depend on than her boyfriend. i don't have a best friend apart from jake. i don't necessarily want one... but i want friends. real, true friends. people that will call me on the weekends to see what i'm up to. not just be a "school friend" or a "camp friend" or a "nfty friend" but a "true friend"... i'm sick and fucking tired of people writing me off, thinking of me as a boring person to hang out with just because i don't do drugs... people really need to get a fucking grip on reality. later on in life it's not about drugs, but about personality.... i'm really losing faith in people extremely quickly... i hate even saying that... i miss everyone...

hello

it's been a while

half of that has been because i've just been lazy/in love and the other half has to do with the fact that i'm always sick. i've been undergoing a ton of extensive testing for different things that could be wrong with my stomach. getting sick after literally every meal no matter how big=bad. so far i have found out that i'm extremely lactose intolerant, most likely allergic to milk proteins as well seeing as taking lactaid pills doesn't even help, i have acid reflux, i can't eat anything acidic (that means no tomato, oranges, lemons, limes, pineapple, all types of peppers, tea, onions... and a bunch of others i don't remember), i'm not allowed to have any caffeine, i can't have any fatty foods, i need to take about a gazillion different pills everyday, i need to keep a constant food/feelings after eating/emotions log to see if there are any more foods that are bad.... i have more testing to do to figure out if i have ciliac disease and a bunch of other different things... i'm not really sure what they're for.

i also found out that basically i have the immune system of someone who should be living in a plastic bubble because i'm not getting any zinc, vitamin C or protein, which are the three things that basically run your immune system. i've been sick sooooo many times since the end of last school year... i'm totally sick of all of this. i need to figure all of this out so i can start living like a normal human again.

i'm also kind of pissed at the people at the doctor's office i've been going to. they won't give me the results of my bloodwork until a week from now... i think that's ridiculous. i want to know what the hell is wrong with me!

on a totally seperate note, i feel like i'm dropping out of touch with people. i miss a lot of people i used to be in contact with and it makes me sad that something has changed. i need to figure out what's going on with me... people should call me considering i'm really bad at that... i'm sorry to all you guys that i've been not so in touch with... i miss you

so that's what's been going on with me lately...

To be a NFTYite.
To know that a sore throat from singing your heart out is the greatest feeling in the world. To lose yourself in a community.
To find yourself within.
To share your soul with others.

To be a NFTYite.
To create countdowns to Convention, and when convention is over, countdowns to camp.
To have an AOL Buddy List that has more NFTYites than school friends.
To have school friends that just don't get it

To be a NFTYite.
To make better friends in three days than you've made in three years.
To fall in love.
To have someone break your heart.
To break someone else's.

To be a NFTYite.
To know that the words "and our youth shall see visions" are more than just a song.
To know that the words "gonna live and die for N-F-T-Y" are more than just a cheer.
To know that the word "goodbye" is merely a code for "see you later."

To be a NFTYite.
To understand that the worst disease in the world is NFTY withdrawal.
To understand that the most contagious virus in the world is Ruach.
To relish in both for as long as possible.

To be a NFTYite.
To look up to your regional leaders your freshman year.
To wonder why you're being looked up to your senior year.
To look back and realize how much you've grown.

To be a NFTYite.
To have opinions about everything, yet still possess an open mind.
To participate in discussions more challenging than anything you've ever encountered at school.
To know that, even though we disagree, we are still the best of friends.

To be a NFTYite.
To know that NFTY won't last forever.
To still cry when it finally ends.
To be surrounded by loved ones when the time comes to leave.

To be a NFTYite.
To understand the power of smiling at a stranger.
To know how powerful remembering someon'es name is.
To have been both smiled at and remembered by strangers.

To be a NFTYite.
To have been put in a situation where you have to choose between your last NFTY event and your senior prom.
To choose the NFTY event.
To forget about prom while you are there.

To be a NFTYite.
To sing Jewish music at the top of your lungs.
To know that is your school friends shaw you, they would roll over laughing.
To not care.

To be a NFTYite.
To struggle with what it means to be a Jew.
To wrestle with God and the Torah.
To understand that both struggling and wrestling are the highest Jewish virtues.

To be a NFTYite.
To understand that there is nothing better than a friendship circle on three hours of sleep (or none at all).
To say "This was the best weekend of my life" after every event.
To mean it every time.

Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

In February I gave [info]thedrakestir a life-saving blood transfusion (50 points). Last Saturday I pushed [info]soysatan in the mud (-17 points). In May I gave change to a homeless guy (19 points). In August [info]butterboy and I robbed a bank (-50 points). In October [info]coconutqueen and I donated clothes to the needy (11 points).

Overall, I've been nice (13 points). For Christmas I deserve a shiny red ball!

Sincerely,
